fellowship 2010

The trans•act fellow will work during the summer of 2010 on the following:

NEED Research

  1. Review basic principals of trans•act and the existing tools and guidelines.
  2. Run NEED to assess effectiveness and possible improvements at existing farmers markets in the Greater New Orleans area.
  3. Document the results of all field research.
  4. Lead and participate in the research data processing and analysis.
  5. Produce final report on NEED, including a data report, a narrative report, and final recommendations.

FEED Research

  1. Conduct literature research, assessing background and necessary information for the continued development of the FEED tool.
  2. Pilot FEED to assess effectiveness and possible improvements.
  3. Lead and participate in field research on existing farmers markets in the Greater New Orleans area with FEED.
  4. Document the results of all pilot and field research.
  5. Lead and participate in the research data processing and analysis.
  6. Produce final report on FEED and present to the Trans•act advisory committee.
